About OUSG

Ondo Capital Management, a branch of Ondo Finance, manages the OUSG token. This token represents a short-term US Treasury bills ETF, with most of the portfolio held in iShares Short Treasury Bond ETF (NASDAQ: SHV). Additionally, a small amount of USDC and USD are included for liquidity.

OUSG brings on-chain exposure to the US Treasury rate for the first time. It provides investors with stable returns and deep liquidity. The funds managed by Ondo, including OUSG, invest solely in secure and liquid securities-backed ETFs - assets that attract daily investments from some of the world's largest institutions.

Ondo Finance and its Offerings

Software development firm Ondo Finance launched in August 2021 with its inaugural product, Ondo Vaults - an Ethereum-based structured finance protocol. Later that year, they introduced Liquidity-as-a-Service (LaaS), managing over $210M in total liquidity.

However, as DeFi yields diminished in 2022, Ondo decided to discontinue Vaults and LaaS (collectively known as "Ondo V1") to concentrate on next-generation protocols. Nathan Allman announced these new protocols, dubbed "Ondo V2", which include tokenized funds like OUSG in January 2023.

The Functionality of OUSG

Investors who pass KYC and AML checks can use their ownership represented by OUSG tokens to effect changes in fund ownership via transfers among themselves. They can also utilize smart contracts for financial arrangements such as lending or trading activities.

The tokens come with transfer restrictions to ensure they only end up with qualified investors.
