The Aptos Foundation has announced a strategic partnership with the Web3 streaming platform myco to accelerate the mainstream adoption of Web3 entertainment.

The Role of Aptos in Web3

Aptos is a layer-1 blockchain platform designed for smart contracts, offering a decentralized and highly scalable network. This partnership aims to enhance the Web3 ecosystem by integrating Aptos’s advanced blockchain technology with myco’s extensive user base.

myco’s Contribution to Web3 Content

Formerly known as Mcontent, myco will bring its platform’s content, including documentaries, movies, and live sports, to Aptos L1. Additionally, user-generated content is expected to go live on-chain by the end of the year, further enriching the platform’s offerings.

β€œSince the inception of myco, we have been talking about streaming being the Trojan horse for web3 adoption,” said Umair Masoom Usmani, myco co-founder.

Recent Developments in the Web3 Ecosystem

This partnership is part of Aptos’s broader strategy to expand its market presence. Recent collaborations include working with Alibaba Cloud to boost Japan’s Web3 ecosystem and partnering with Jambo to advance the digital economy in emerging markets.

Web3 Streaming and Entertainment Market
