Wert has teamed up with Worldpay to offer more payment choices, now accepting JCB, Amex, and Discover cards. This move aims to make web3 services more accessible through fiat payments.

Worldpay’s collaboration with Wert is set to benefit non-crypto native users, granting access to a vast user base including 121.7 million Amex cardholders, over 140 million JCB cardholders, and about 57 million Discover cardholders. This initiative supports a wide range of cards in 198 countries.

According to reports from Cointelegraph, Wert’s approach boasts a 95% approval rate for fiat payments, a significant improvement compared to the industry average of 50% failure rates. These failures are often due to factors like user location and merchant size, with high failure rates in fiat-to-crypto transactions leading to cart abandonment rates as high as 90%.

George Basiladze, Founder and CEO of Wert, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with Worldpay marks a pivotal moment for the web3 landscape. By enabling near-universal card acceptance, we are moving closer to an inclusive ecosystem where digital assets are easily accessible.”

Wert’s upgraded payment system is tailored to a wider user base, with the goal of enhancing checkout experiences and boosting adoption into web3. By including JCB, Amex, and Discover cards, Wert not only expands its reach but also taps into niche markets, potentially driving higher conversion rates and market penetration.
