VeChain, a leading blockchain platform, has announced a long-term partnership with Power Slap, a professional slapping championship organization, to bring live events to a global audience via YouTube. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for VeChain, which has been the official blockchain partner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since 2022.
The partnership was revealed by Dana White, CEO of UFC and founder of Power Slap, and Sunny Lu, co-founder and CEO of VeChain. White and Lu expressed their excitement about the new deal, with Lu stating, “We are incredibly proud to be working with Dana White to launch Power Slap on YouTube, which, like blockchains, has the mantra of ‘Power to the people’ at its core.”
As the official sponsor and title partner of Power Slap events, VeChain will play a crucial role in promoting the organization’s events. The blockchain platform will be featured across all broadcast and live-streamed content on YouTube, as well as on athletes’ official kits and marketing materials.
VeChain will also serve as the official cryptocurrency of Power Slap, further solidifying its position in the sports industry. The company’s integration with Power Slap is expected to expand to other areas, including the UFC and the UFC Foundation.
The first event under this collaboration, “VeChain Power Slap 12: Quinones vs. Bordeaux 2,” is scheduled for March 7, 2025, at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The event will be live-streamed on Power Slap’s YouTube channel, offering free access to a global audience.
According to White, “Power Slap is a global phenomenon built on the internet. In just two years, our social platforms have attracted over 22 million followers, and our content has accumulated more than 13 billion views. Now with VeChain’s support, we are going to take this sport to another level!”
This partnership is expected to further boost VeChain’s presence in the sports industry, following its initial partnership with UFC in 2022 and the subsequent launch of VeBetter, an ecosystem aimed at accelerating adoption through tokenization.
