The TRON ecosystem is set to introduce its own marketplace for inscription tokens, as announced by TRON founder Justin Sun on Mar. 4. The new marketplace is being developed by APENFT, a team specializing in NFT platforms and artworks.

While specific details and launch timelines have not been disclosed, the project is expected to include support for BTT, BitTorrent’s native token based on the TRC-20 standard.

Exciting news, the inscription market based on #TRON is about to launch, developed by the @apenftorg #NFT team. Many thanks to our TRON developers, and welcome all developers to develop in the TRON ecosystem. #TRX 🔴🔵 🚀 – H.E. Justin Sun 孙宇晨 (@justinsuntron) March 4, 2024

Following this announcement, APENFT’s native token NFT experienced a 25% surge to $0.0000006941, reaching a level last seen in June 2022, according to CoinMarketCap data.

Inscriptions, initially designed to embed data or content onto a Satoshi, have gained significant attention in the global crypto market. This increased interest has led to the introduction of inscription token marketplaces by various crypto exchanges, such as Binance with the launch of the Binance Inscriptions Marketplace in early February.
