TON, the blockchain network integrated into the Telegram web3 ecosystem, has introduced a new program to support emerging projects.
Powered by Toncoin as the native cryptocurrency for governance, staking, and transaction fees, TON is one of the fastest-growing blockchains in the crypto industry.
What is TON Nest?
The TON blockchain team has unveiled TON Nest, a program designed to provide mentorship and support resources to early-stage projects on the network. Nest is an initiative by TON Society, a community of blockchain enthusiasts dedicated to accelerating the growth of TONβs ecosystem within Telegram.
In an announcement on August 16, the platform highlighted that the TON Society Worldwide program would give developers opportunities to pitch their projects, access workshops, and compete with other teams for rewards. With Nest, early developers looking to deploy on TON will benefit from both private and community-gated workshops, becoming part of a builders-only community.
TON Ecosystem Growth
In April this year, TON Society collaborated with an artificial intelligence firm on an identity verification project. This initiative included a $5.9 million incentive program for TON Society members, aiming to integrate web3 identity into the Telegram ecosystem.
Telegram plays a pivotal role in these initiatives, drawing users to the blockchain and crypto space through various programs, including the Open League initiative launched in March 2023. With over 950 million monthly active users, Telegram offers a significant growth opportunity that has positively impacted not just Toncoin but also projects like Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, and Catizen.
