Ryan Selkis, the former CEO of Messari, has unveiled his next venture, which intersects cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and the re-election campaign of Donald Trump.
Selkis has termed this new initiative βProject Solomon.β His aim is to support Donald Trumpβs bid for a second term in the White House and to build a parallel Washington using modern technologies like blockchain. According to Selkis, the development of an open internet, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence are the three most critical battles for America in the coming decade.
As Selkis committed his support to Trump, the Republican candidate surged ahead of his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris. Data shows a 6-7% difference in favor of Trump over Harris in the upcoming November presidential elections.
Selkis publicly shared his vision on social media less than three months after stepping down as Messariβs CEO. In July, he left his position amid rising political debates and heated discussions over the U.S. elections.
A long-standing member of the crypto community and social commentator, Selkis founded Messari in 2018 to bring additional transparency to the digital asset economy. Messari became well-known for its decentralized finance data, cryptocurrency research reports, and on-chain governance updates for web3 participants.
In his final moments as Messariβs CEO, Selkis accused the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of corruption and inadequate oversight of the crypto industry. He declared he was ready for a battle with the SEC and its chair, Gary Gensler, and intended to stop cooperating with the Wall Street regulator.
