Revolut has partnered with Ledger to integrate its app into Ledger Live, enabling crypto purchases for users in select European countries.

Revolut and Ledger have announced an integration allowing users in select European Economic Area countries to purchase cryptocurrencies seamlessly through Ledger Live, a software that lets crypto holders track their portfolios.

In an August 14 press release, Revolut stated that this integration would simplify crypto purchases for users in these regions. Existing Revolut customers who have completed Know Your Customer (KYC) verification will bypass additional verification, making it easier to acquire crypto. New users can also complete a KYC process to access the service using Visa or Mastercard.

According to Emil Urmanshin, Revolut’s general manager of crypto, the collaboration is the “next step in our mission to help people onboard to web3.”

Revolut Expands Its Crypto Services

This latest move is part of Revolut’s ongoing expansion into the crypto sector, including the gradual rollout of its own crypto exchange, Revolut X. Initially available to professional traders, Revolut X offers a fiat-to-crypto switch with zero fees for makers and a 0.09% fee for takers.

Since 2021, Revolut has been planning to launch its own crypto exchange, searching for key personnel to “architect and build Revolut Crypto exchange.” The London-headquartered neobank, valued at $25.7 billion as of April, offers crypto services to 30 million customers worldwide, providing access to more than 50 tokens.
