Pump.fun Achieves Record-Breaking Revenue Amid Growing Concerns Over Content Moderation

Pump.fun, a popular meme coin launchpad, has recorded its highest monthly revenue in history, with a staggering $82.78 million in November. This represents a significant 207% increase from the previous month, which saw revenue of $30.5 million.

According to recent data, pump.fun’s November revenue already accounts for more than 35% of its total earnings since its launch in March 2024. This surge in revenue can be attributed to a massive uptick in user activity and transaction volumes on the platform.

Record-Breaking Token Launches and Volume

On November 20, pump.fun witnessed its highest number of token launches in history, with 69,046 Solana-powered tokens launched. In the past two weeks, the platform has seen a total volume of $4.15 billion. These numbers highlight the growing popularity of pump.fun as a meme coin marketplace.

Content Moderation Concerns and Actions

Despite the impressive revenue and user growth, pump.fun has faced criticism for its livestream feature, which was used to broadcast harmful content. Following online complaints and concerns, the platform’s livestream feature was disabled, and additional measures were taken to ensure user safety.

These measures include removing inappropriate content and flagging NSFW materials. Pump.fun’s founder, alon, acknowledged the community’s concerns and emphasized the platform’s efforts to moderate content since its launch.

“We have a large team of moderators working around the clock and an internal team of engineers that’s working on helping us deal with increased scale of coins, streams, and comments.”

While acknowledging that content moderation is not perfect, alon urged users to report any harmful content to pump.fun’s support channels.
