KuCoin, a Seychelle-based international cryptocurrency exchange, currently supports trading for 250 digital assets. Unique to KuCoin is its policy of sharing 50% of total trading fee revenue with users who hold their native token. This approach is somewhat similar to Binance, offering low trading fees and incentives for holding or trading its native cryptocurrency.

The founders began researching blockchain technology in 2011 and developed the technical architecture for KuCoin in 2013. The exchange was launched four years later with the ambitious goal of becoming one of the top ten global exchange platforms by 2019.

Leadership and Goals

According to their official website, KuCoin aims to provide safe and convenient digital asset transaction and exchange services. They also intend to integrate premium assets worldwide while constructing a state-of-the-art transaction platform. CEO Michael Gam, previously a technical expert at Ant Financial (an affiliate company of Alibaba Group), has also held senior positions at MikeCRM and KF5.COM.

Eric Don, referred to as a "senior Internet researcher" and "systems architect", is another core member of KuCoin's team. His past includes being CTO and senior partner at IT companies such as YOULIN.COM, KITEME, and REINOT.

Growth Prospects

KuCoin's user base continues to grow, as does the number of cryptocurrencies it offers. As daily trading volume on KuCoin increases so does the collection of trading fees which could potentially increase dividend payouts. This prospect may attract investors to hold KCS tokens which could further increase its value.

Despite facing stiff competition from other exchanges like OKEx, KuCoin anticipates exponential community growth. It is projected that this growth will place it among the top five exchanges worldwide.
