STEPN's governance token, known as GMT, has a limited supply of 6 billion tokens. Users purchase GMTs to unlock features within the STEPN app, including minting high-quality Sneakers, upgrading Gems, and participating in governance voting.

About STEPN

STEPN is a Web3 lifestyle application that incorporates Social-Fi and Game-Fi elements. Users can earn tokens and NFTs by engaging in physical activities such as walking, jogging or running outdoors while equipped with NFT Sneakers. The platform operates on a dual-token system.

In addition to earning GST through physical activity, users have the option to lease or trade their NFT Sneakers on the in-app Marketplace. All earnings are stored in an in-app Wallet which includes a built-in Swap function for convenience.

The Team Behind STEPN

The Australian-based fintech studio Find Satoshi Lab is responsible for creating STEPN. They gained recognition after winning the 2021 Solana Ignition Hackathon Gaming Track and being included in the DeFi Alliance Gaming cohort.
