Flow by Dapper Labs, the creators of CryptoKitties, is a blockchain network designed to be quick, secure and easy for developers. This new blockchain was conceptualized to cater to games and social networks, in response to the scalability issues faced by Ethereum, as evidenced by the high transaction fees during the CryptoKitties phenomenon. The Flow team concluded that shards and sidechains were not sustainable solutions for performance-driven apps.

The project has attracted substantial investment from prominent entities including Andreessen Horowitz, Warner Music Group, Union Square Ventures, and Digital Currency Group among others.
