Polygon Labs Achieves ISO 27001 Certification

Polygon Labs has recently announced that it has successfully obtained the ISO 27001 certification. This certification was externally audited by Schellman Compliance, confirming that Polygon Labs’ information security management system (ISMS) meets the ISO standards.

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized information security standard that outlines the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving ISMSs. Organizations utilize an ISMS to methodically manage information security risks to safeguard asset confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Obtaining an ISO 27001 certification signifies Polygon Labs’ dedication to upholding high information security standards.

Polygon Labs expressed their commitment to security best practices by stating, “Robust security processes and continuous improvement have always been integral to Polygon Labs. ISO 27001 compliance reflects this commitment to security best practices, and positions Polygon Labs as a trusted leader for the blockchain industry.”

Following the announcement of the ISO 27001 certification, Polygon’s native token, MATIC, experienced a surge in price. According to CoinMarketCap, the token saw a 4.2% price increase in the last 24 hours, reaching up to $0.72.

This certification initiative comes on the heels of Polygon Labs’ decision to reduce its workforce by 19%, or 60 employees, two months prior. CEO Marc Boiron highlighted the importance of having an effective team that is capable of collaborating and engaging in complex business processes to achieve the company’s goals.
