Offchain Labs, a venture-backed firm active in the cryptocurrency space, is aiming to enhance blockchain development and adoption through a new platform called Tandem.

The developer team at Offchain Labs has made significant contributions to the Prysm consensus client for both Arbitrum and Ethereum. Their latest project, Tandem, is designed to further stimulate blockchain innovation.

In September 2023, Offchain Labs partnered with Espresso Systems, the platform behind the Espresso Sequencer, to help Ethereum rollups and developers achieve better interoperability.

What Does Tandem Offer?

With Tandem, Offchain Labs is providing a partner studio that grants select projects access to their resources and market presence for building and launching on-chain applications.

Tandem leverages Arbitrum Nitro’s execution layer, utilizing features such as data availability and Rollup-as-a-service (RaaS) for customizable scalability. RaaS aids projects in scaling their infrastructure to improve network operations and settlement.

β€œBy providing resources and mentorship, we aim to empower developers and entrepreneurs to bring their visionary ideas to life, driving the next wave of decentralized applications and transformative technologies. We are excited to see the groundbreaking projects that will emerge from this initiative.”

Projects that benefit from Tandem will have a dedicated stakeholder acting as the β€œpoint person,” assisting from the building phase through to deployment. Additionally, these projects will gain from partnerships facilitated by Tandem.
