Injective Revolutionizes Decentralized Finance with On-Chain Stocks Index
Injective, a layer-1 blockchain, has taken a significant step towards bridging the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi) by introducing the TradFi Stocks Index. This on-chain index will track some of the worldβs largest publicly traded companies, including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs.
The TradFi Stocks Index is part of Injectiveβs vision to democratize access to financial markets. According to Eric Chen, chief executive officer and co-founder of Injective Labs, βThis launch of the TradFi index is a major step toward our vision of democratizing access to financial markets.β Chen emphasized that users can now engage with the largest publicly traded equities on-chain in an entirely decentralized manner, free from traditional market constraints.
Key Features of the TradFi Index
The on-chain index will allow users to track hundreds of publicly listed stocks, offering a decentralized trading experience for equities. Access will be available through a single integrated product, which will be featured on Injectiveβs leading decentralized exchange, Helix. Key features of the TradFi index include:
- 24/7 trading
- Up to 25x leverage
The launch of the equities index on Helix follows Injectiveβs rollout of the AI Index Perpetual Market, with ticker AIX, on the DEX. This move is part of Injectiveβs efforts to redefine whatβs possible in decentralized finance. As Chen noted, βBy bringing the most sought after traditional finance markets on-chain, weβre not just creating a new trading product; weβre redefining whatβs possible in decentralized finance.β
More on Injectiveβs Recent Developments
Injective has been actively expanding its offerings in the DeFi space. The AI Index Perpetual Market, which brings together AI tokens and NVIDIA, Taiwan Semiconductor, and other AI stocks, is a notable example. The platformβs efforts to bring traditional finance markets on-chain have also led to the launch of the first on-chain S&P 500 Index.
