Mint Blockchain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network focused on the NFT industry, has received a substantial grant of 750,000 OP tokens, equivalent to $1.35 million, from Optimism Governance during the 28th cycle of Optimism Grants.

On October 15, Mint Blockchain announced via social media that Optimism has approved their grant request. The funds will be utilized to enhance the “Superchain NFT economy,” driving growth and adoption within the ecosystem.

Grant Details and Impact

Mint Blockchain is the sole “Superchain” project to receive funding in the Cycle 28 round. Other notable recipients include Uniswap, DelegateMatch, and Scout Game, as highlighted in the Cycle 28 winners announcement.

Mint Blockchain expressed gratitude for the support, stating,

“We are beyond thankful for their support as we continue our mission to accelerate NFT innovation and adoption across Mint Blockchain and the broader Superchain Ecosystem.”

Future Plans and Developer Engagement

The grant will empower builders and onboard new users to the superchain. Mint Blockchain has hinted at revealing more detailed plans soon. Optimism noted that the grant aims to incentivize growth for developers and increase user engagement within the Mint ecosystem, further driving NFT innovation and adoption.

Following the grant announcement, Mint Blockchain invited developers to launch their projects on the protocol and share their ideas through Mint’s development forum.

“If you’re passionate about NFT fields, you can share your ideas through Mint developer forumβ€”we’re ready to work together to turn these NFT concepts into reality. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to supporting you!”
