Crypto.com Launches U.S. Trust Company to Expand Custody Services

Crypto.com, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the launch of Crypto.com Custody Trust Company, a U.S. trust company that will provide custody services to eligible institutions and high net worth clients in the United States and Canada.

Securing Regulatory Approval

The exchange, which was founded in 2016, has secured a trust company charter, enabling it to extend its custody services to a wider range of clients. This development is a significant step in Crypto.com’s product roadmap, as it seeks to build its business and presence in North America.

“Launching a U.S. trust company is our latest significant step in our product roadmap to building our business and presence in two of the most important and active crypto markets in the world – the U.S. and Canada,” said Kris Marszalek, co-founder and chief executive officer of Crypto.com.

Enhancing Presence in North America

The launch of the U.S. trust company demonstrates Crypto.com’s confidence in growth opportunities across North America. The exchange plans to further enhance its presence in the region with new services and innovative products.

Migration of Digital Assets

Crypto.com will transfer all digital assets of customers in the U.S. and Canada to the new custody trust company. Clients in the region will be contacted for the purposes of the migration, and access to accounts and funds will remain available ahead of and during the exercise.

Introducing the Sports Feature

In another development, Crypto.com has announced that its Sports feature is now live for app and web users. The sports trading feature is available across the U.S. and allows users to earn rewards for trading their “opinion on The Big Game.”

Promotional Campaign

Crypto.com is offering $1 million in a campaign program targeting new users. The promotion runs from December 23, 2024 to January 13, 2025. The exchange has also sponsored a professional golf tournament, with prize payouts made in the native Cronos token.
