Chromia, a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform, has introduced an incentivized testnet with a reward pool of 250,000 CHR tokens. This initiative aims to test Chromia’s capabilities across various verticals, including gaming, real-world assets (RWAs), digital collectibles, and sports.

Participants in the testnet can interact with decentralized applications (dApps) and Chromia’s official wallet, earning CHR tokens before the platform’s mainnet launch. According to a press release, the testing program comprises three distinct initiatives, each featuring a dedicated network run on Chromia’s mainnet candidate release.

“Ahead of the mainnet release, this is an opportunity to showcase the robustness and reliability of our technology, while also giving our loyal community the chance to contribute to shaping the future of the Chromia ecosystem,” said Alex Mizrahi, co-founder of Chromia.

Chromia Testnet Initiatives

HackNet

HackNet is designed for coders and technically-minded users to help assess Chromia’s core software and provide feedback on edge cases. This program runs for two weeks and offers a reward pool of 100,000 CHR tokens. The HackNet initiative is expected to conclude on June 28, aligning with the end of a third-party audit. This timeline allows Chromia to evaluate community feedback and plan the mainnet launch.

ProjectNet

ProjectNet targets developers building on Chromia with Rell. Developer submissions for decentralized applications (dApps) are accepted until July 26, 2024. The reward pool for this category is 50,000 CHR, to be shared among the top three projects.

QuestNet

Launching on June 18, QuestNet aims to engage everyday users by offering a user-friendly dashboard. Participants can seamlessly interact with dApps and network features such as the Chromia Vault. QuestNet has a prize pool of 100,000 CHR tokens.
