Chainlink’s Data Streams are now live on Avalanche, as announced by Chainlink, Avalanche, and GMX, an on-chain perpetual and spot crypto exchange. This significant integration features GMX as the launch partner, aiming to enhance Avalanche’s decentralized finance (DeFi) market.

Avalanche’s decentralized applications (dApps) ecosystem will gain from Chainlink Data Streams’ on-demand access to low-latency market data through the GMX V2 integration.

Chainlink Data Streams to Enhance Avalanche DeFi

GMX is a leading decentralized perpetual exchange (DEX) by total value locked (TVL) on Arbitrum and Avalanche. GMX V2 uses Chainlink Data Streams for high-frequency market data and automated transaction settlement. The exchange leverages these features to bolster the Avalanche DeFi ecosystem, particularly in trade settlement and triggering stops and liquidations.

β€œThe GMX Data Streams integration on Avalanche mainnet aims to expand the success of our GMX V2 launch,” said Coinflip, a core contributor at GMX. β€œChainlink Data Streams has significantly contributed to our decentralized exchange’s speed and resiliency. We’re excited to bring these benefits to all traders and liquidity providers in the Avalanche community,” Coinflip added.

Chainlink’s high-frequency market data and decentralized infrastructure enable developers to create high-throughput DeFi products with user experiences comparable to centralized exchanges (CEXs). This also ensures fast on-chain execution speed and security, supported by Chainlink’s decentralized and robust infrastructure.

β€œBy offering unmatched speed and resiliency, Data Streams enable DeFi protocols to provide ultra-fast, high-throughput DeFi products while maintaining high-security guarantees of on-chain finance,” said Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs.

Other DeFi protocols that have integrated Data Streams include PancakeSwap, ApolloX, Marquee, DRX Exchange, and YFX.
