Crypto Custodian Cactus Custody Completes SOC 2 Type II Audit by Deloitte
Asia’s cryptocurrency custodian Cactus Custody, founded by Jihan Wu, has successfully completed the SOC 2 Type II compliance review conducted by Deloitte. This achievement ensures the firm meets global security standards, according to a press release dated October 28.
Wendy Jiang, General Manager of Cactus Custody, highlighted the significance of this attestation, stating that it reflects the firmβs commitment to protecting client assets. She emphasized that this strengthens trust and positions Cactus Custody as a reliable partner in digital asset custody. Jiang added that the custodian manages billions in assets for over 300 institutions, operating under a Hong Kong trust company.
“This audit demonstrates our ability to meet global security standards, ensuring clients across APAC and beyond that their digital assets are managed securely in line with industry best practices and regulations.”
A SOC 2 Type II audit evaluates an organizationβs operational effectiveness over a period, usually six months. It assesses controls related to data security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Unlike SOC 2 Type I, which focuses on a specific point in time, Type II attests to sustained performance.
Founded in 2019 by crypto veterans Jihan Wu and John Ge, Cactus Custody operates as a subsidiary of Matrixport. The firm offers secure digital asset management across more than 30 blockchains and has received backing from prominent venture capital investors, including Polychain, K3 Ventures, and Lightspeed.
