World Mobile and DITO CME will leverage World Mobile’s decentralized physical infrastructure network technology alongside DITO CME’s network of operators. The goal is to enhance mobile and broadband connectivity across the Philippines, providing connectivity solutions that ensure no one is left behind.

Expanding blockchain-powered connectivity to rural communities is a key focus of the partnership. World Mobile’s DePIN technology will be integrated with Starlink-powered AirNodes to enhance coverage, driving innovation and accelerating the growth of digital finance across the country.

The partnership also introduces DTaka, a blockchain-based e-wallet integrated into the DITO CME ecosystem. DTaka uses a dual-token model, consisting of a stablecoin for remittances and mobile money transfers, and a utility token for gamification and loyalty rewards.

Rollout and Expansion Plans

The rollout of the new features, including the DTaka wallet, is set to begin in 2025 within the Philippines. World Mobile and DITO CME plan to expand these capabilities across the World Mobile Chain and the DTaka app in the coming months.
