Cryptocurrency derivatives exchange BitMEX has recently introduced options trading to its platform in collaboration with PowerTrade, a leading crypto options platform. This new offering allows users to trade a variety of crypto options margined in Bitcoin, USDT, or USDC.

As part of the launch, BitMEX is waiving all commissions on options trading until the end of May. Additionally, users who deposit $1,000 or more and execute at least one option trade will receive a 20 USDC sign-up bonus.

For those new to options trading or the BitMEX platform, educational resources will be provided to help users navigate the process effectively.

BitMEX is offering options trading on popular cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin, Solana, Ripple, and Binance Coin. The exchange boasts some of the lowest minimum trade sizes in the industry, starting at 0.01 for BTC and 0.1 for ETH.

Interest in cryptocurrency options is on the rise, with several American stock exchanges seeking approval to launch options on spot cryptocurrency ETFs. While the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has yet to take action on these applications, public comments are being solicited on the matter.

As the demand for options on crypto ETFs grows, two U.S. congressmen, Mike Flood and Wiley Nickel, have urged SEC Chairman Gary Gensler to approve options on spot Bitcoin ETFs.
