Arbitrum Foundation is teaming up with the well-known NFT brand Azuki to create a web3 network specifically for anime fans. This collaboration, known as AnimeChain, will offer a wide range of anime-related content sourced from both original creators and third-party providers, including games, merchandise, and NFTs.

The CEO of Azuki, Zagabond, took to social media to highlight the significance of AnimeChain in providing a fresh approach to producing and consuming anime products. Traditionally, anime enthusiasts have faced challenges in accessing a cohesive experience in the web3 space, with most anime projects being fragmented. Zagabond believes that AnimeChain, leveraging Arbitrum’s enhanced scalability, will address these issues.

In a recent announcement, the Arbitrum Foundation shared its plans to dedicate 200 million ARB tokens (equivalent to $344 million) to support gaming projects on its blockchain over the next two years. Furthermore, Arbitrum disclosed its investment in a feature film by Shane Boris, an acclaimed Oscar-winning producer.

DefiLlama reported that Arbitrum’s Total Value Locked (TVL) has surpassed $3 billion this year. While the ARB token hit an all-time high in January, it has experienced a 30% decline recently due to broader market liquidation.
