HTX, Bitget, and BingX have announced their commitment to support the Slerf community by donating trading fees after the anonymous meme coin developer accidentally burned $10 million in presale funds.

Crypto exchanges HTX (formerly Huobi), Bitget, and BingX have pledged to donate proceeds from trading activities involving the Slerf token to investors who suffered losses due to the accidental burning of a significant portion of the token supply by the project’s developer.

HTX will allocate trading fees to participants in private sales on their platform and donate some HTX for Slerf’s trading fee mining. Bitget and BingX have also committed to donating all SLERF trading fees to the community, with Bitget disclosing donation details weekly and BingX planning to airdrop future BingX World Debut tokens to addresses that participated in the Slerf private sale.

Other crypto companies like LBank have also shown support for Slerf as its market capitalization reached $612 million, making it the eighth largest meme coin by market value. However, MEXC, one of the first centralized trading platforms to list SLERF, has not announced any plans to donate funds to the Slerf community.

The accidental burning of $10 million in SOL tokens raised from presale investors by the anonymous developer of Slerf caused a surge in market speculation, driving the token’s value up by over 5,000% and surpassing the $1 mark.
