Long-term Vision

The SingularityNET team aspires to create a network of intricate AI Agent interactions, primarily utilizing resources from the OpenCog Foundation. A prime example of this vision in action is Sophia, their in-house humanoid robot. Sophia operates using various AI Agents that handle tasks ranging from natural language processing to physical motor controls.

An interaction example: You ask Sophia to summarize an embedded webpage video. Sophia sends a request to Agent A, which then coordinates with Agents B and C - specialists in video analysis and text summarization respectively. Each agent updates its own AI with information gained from these tasks, thereby enhancing the collective intelligence of the system faster than any individual agent could.

Decentralized Protocol for AI Interaction

SingularityNET aims to build a protocol that allows creators and users of AI to interact seamlessly. This not only benefits individual projects by leveraging other superior-performing AIs but also helps transform SingularityNET into an autonomous AI system. Nodes on this network will be able to make independent decisions about service connections and proactive problem-solving strategies.

The tokenization of this network creates an open marketplace for buying and selling AI services and products, establishing price points where none existed before while generating revenue.

The Team Behind SingularityNET

The team includes over 50 AI developers and more than ten PhDs led by Dr. Ben Goertzel, CEO, Chief Scientist, Chairman of OpenCog Foundation, Artificial General Intelligence Society member, and Chief Scientist at Hanson Robotics. Dr. David Hanson, founder of Hanson Robotics and creator of Sophia, serves as the Robotics Lead. The team recently launched the alpha version of SingularityNET and plans to release a public beta in mid-2018.
