Usual Secures $10 Million in Series A Funding Led by Binance Labs and Kraken Ventures
Usual, a decentralized fiat-backed real-world assets stablecoin issuer, has announced a successful $10 million Series A funding round led by Binance Labs and Kraken Ventures. The fundraising effort, which was revealed on December 23, also attracted participation from other prominent venture capital platforms, including Galaxy Digital, OKX Ventures, Wintermute, and Amber Group.
Strategic Partnerships and Growth
The funding milestone comes on the heels of a strategic alliance between Usual and Ethena Labs and Securitize, a tokenization platform for BlackRock’s BUIDL fund. This partnership aims to bring combined liquidity, yield, and composability to users in the expanding decentralized finance market.
Binance Labs and Usual Labs Collaboration
Binance Labs invested in Usual to help reshape the DeFi ecosystem through the project’s community-first approach. The shared rewards model aims to redefine stablecoins amid broader DeFi and RWA adoption.
“At Binance Labs, we seek out projects that drive meaningful innovation and expand the ecosystem, and we are excited to support Usual’s mission to push the boundaries of what stablecoins can achieve.”
– Alex Odagiu, Investment Director at Binance Labs
