Solana Optimistic Network (SOON) has successfully raised a funding round with contributions from notable blockchain industry figures. The round aims to support the development of SOON’s flagship products, SOON Stack and SOON Mainnet.

Prominent contributors include Lily Liu from Solana Foundation, Anatoly Yakovenko of Solana Labs, and Jonathan King from Coinbase Ventures.

SOON Stack: A Modular Framework

SOON Stack is a modular framework designed to integrate the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) with various Layer 1 blockchains like Ethereum and Cosmos. This structure facilitates the deployment of an SVM-based Layer 2 solution across different ecosystems, significantly increasing throughput while maintaining low fees.

Enhanced Transaction Capacities

SOON Mainnet, which will launch on Ethereum, is expected to boost the network’s transaction capacity up to 650,000 transactions per second. This performance enhancement aims to make SOON one of the most efficient rollups available, reducing costs and increasing performance by 100 times relative to the highest performing Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

β€œWith SOON, we aim to be the most efficient rollup while reducing costs and raising performance by 100X in every ecosystem, relative to the highest performing EVM, complimented by a culture friendly towards non-Solana blue chips,” said Joanna Zeng, Co-Founder and CEO of SOON.

The funding will enable SOON to continue its mission of creating a high-performance, scalable solution for decentralized applications across multiple blockchains.
