RippleX Encounters Technical Glitch in XRPL AMM Pools
RippleX recently experienced a technical glitch affecting some Automated Market Maker (AMM) pools on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). This glitch has caused disruptions in transactions within these pools, prompting the RippleX team to issue a warning to users against depositing new funds into AMM pools. Liquidity provider (LP) token holders have been advised to withdraw their funds until the issue is resolved.
AMM pools play a crucial role as liquidity sources in decentralized exchanges (DEXs), allowing for asset trading without traditional order books. Traders can swap assets with the pool directly, without the need for another user. These pools hold various asset reserves.
The glitch has impacted transaction execution in certain AMM pools on XRPL, leading to incorrect processing of transactions. This has hindered the basic functionalities of the pools, necessitating a prompt resolution. Developers are actively collaborating with community members to address the issue.
As a result of the glitch, several projects utilizing XRPL pools have suspended their connections. Sologenic, a platform for trading tokenized stocks on XRPL, has halted deposits following RippleX’s announcement. Anodos, known for its XRPL interface AnodoSwap, has also disabled its service.
Community reactions to the glitch have been mixed, with some users expressing concerns about the network’s reliability. However, others have shown support for the RippleX team’s transparency in handling the situation.
The XRPL AMM was launched on March 22 after the XLS-30D amendment was passed on Jan. 31. This new feature has led to the creation of over 1,000 liquidity pools, significantly diversifying the available assets. One of the largest liquidity pools is the PCSH/XCASH pair, with the AMM account for this pair boasting a significant balance.
Despite rigorous testing by RippleX developers, complications have arisen. In January, the team reported discovering an issue that could prevent the immediate execution of AMM transactions when trading fees were set below the minimum threshold.
David Schwartz, Ripple’s CTO, described the launch as the beginning of a longer journey towards upcoming milestones in the XRPL ecosystem. The RippleX team continues to work towards resolving the glitch and ensuring the smooth functioning of AMM pools on XRPL.
